Head sizes and axis
Each artist has its on shape size, but lts said that this is a very basic one.

I did a 3/4 view so you can see that the axis bend and follow the curve feeling of the basic head shape. So far you have been drawing the Vertical central line (important for symmetry and nose/mouth reference) and the Eye middle axis.
Note that the ear is as big (or a little bigger) as the eyes are and it goes into the same eyes axis.
Do not forget, humans have a forehead!, do not place the axis too high!
The mouth is usually place beteween the tip of the nose and the chin, But (big but) i particulary like to draw it closer to the nose
The nose is a tricky thing to explain. Yes, it does follow the vertical central line but ... the nose is 3d, so first let see a very basic nose shape (realism artist will hate me XD) |

| now, anime and manga mostly outline it like this ^_^ see, the basic shape does follow the vertical central line, but the outline only goes on the opposive side from the point of view | ![]() |
| If you dont know where the nose starts here is a tip ..... from
the eyelid ^-^. I do draw a little of drop down shadow, but it really depends on each artist ^-^. |
